Father, every bit of the person You’d have me to be, I long to be.

“I came that they can have real and eternal life, more and better life than ever dreamed of.” (v. 10 MSG)
Jesus, thank You for the way You fill me up as “my cup overflows” (Psalm 23:5) every day with the abundant blessings of knowing You! You supply a depth of living in the here and now, as I look forward to living in eternity.
The kind of abundant life You bring isn’t one that denies pain and problems. You set those struggles into perspective. You take me deeper into life itself, a point at which there’s a calm in the midst of the storm. No matter how lush the pasture is in which You lead me to graze, You have pointed out the continual danger of thieves, the presence of death, and the daily grind of coming and going. Though these challenges exist, You guide me in making use of them instead of being defeated by them.
Thank You for the life You bring to my heart and soul! Keep making me just like you, Jesus. Amen.
