Romans 1:1-17

Eyes speak so easily, Lord.  Let the eyes You’ve created for me master the words, “Jesus loves you.”

* * * * * * * * * * * *

“…JESUS …THE MESSIAH, OUR MASTER …Through Him we received both the GENEROUS GIFT of His life and the URGENT TASK of passing it on to others who receive it by entering into obedient trust in Jesus.  You are who you are through this GIFT and CALL of Jesus Christ!  And I greet you now with all the generosity of God our Father and our Master Jesus, the Messiah.”  (vv 4-6 MSG)

Father, thank You for calling me Your very own.  Thanks for the gift of life, especially eternal life in Your Son.  Thank You for the task You’ve given me of passing Him on to others, so they can share in these gifts as well.

You are generous in all You give.  You lavish Your love upon me and call me Your child.  (1 John 3:1).  You pour out Your mercy, Your grace and Your Spirit in vast amounts! (Titus 3:4-7)

As You give and give and give from the depths of Your being, You also ask something of me.  You supply all that I need to do it.  You equip me for accomplishing it:  You urgently desire for every person on this planet to know You … so each will love You … so each will choose to follow You … so that we will be with You for eternity.  And You’ve called me to be Your voice, Your hands, Your feet in conveying this desire of Yours to those with whose lives mine intersects, by Your divine design.

Here I am, Lord.  Use me.
