Bridal Prayer

The moment is here, and I can hardly believe
that you, my groom, and I, your bride,
very soon will be named “husband and wife.”
I’ve been eagerly waiting for this day to come,
when we embark on our journey together,
no longer as two, but now as one.

And my bridal prayer shall be…
That our marriage will reflect
our Father’s perfect design
for the union of a woman and man.
that our hearts will nurture
our Savior’s passion divine
for a richer walk with His hands in ours.
May our Lord’s desires become our own
as we grow closer to Him and one another.
