1 Corinthians 3

Yes, Lord! My life is in YOUR hands.

Thank You for Your Church, Father.  You have drawn together a myriad of people, diverse in countless ways.  You have called each one to follow You.  You have “assigned to each his task” (v 5 NIV).  We each do our work in Your fields and YOU make things grow.  You reward each of us according to our work for You.  Thank You for allowing me to work alongside You and for You.  Thanks for helping and equipping me to carry out the work You’ve assigned to me.

You have called Your Church “God’s temple” and You’ve called that temple sacred, set apart for Your use.  Thank You for making me a part of that place wherein You dwell–not a building made of bricks, mortar and wood.  But You have built Your temple with lives–souls, minds and hearts. Starting with Jesus as the foundation, You fit us all into the rest of the framework and finishings.  You are creating a place where You, the Most High, call Home–inside the hearts of Your people forever.

As You continue the building, fitting each piece into the place You desire for it, … as You fit me in, continue to make me just like Jesus … so that His nature is evident in me.  Amen.
